It is a typical farmhouse, one of the most powerful in our area, donated by the Cortizo family, whom both the neighbourhood of Anzo and Busto and the Town Council would like to thank. The large surface area of this centenary building, which includes a hayloft, fountain, granary, suntrap, oven, stone tiled floor, among other unique elements, will be used for the recreation of the "Matanza". At the back of the house, where there is a doorway dating from 1856, there will be a tasting of typical products. A car park will be set up nearby on the upper side of the provincial road in order to facilitate access for those attending the event, as parking near the house will be prohibited.
The 24th edition of the Matanza Tradicional del Cerdo to be held on Sunday, 21 January 2024, in Anzo, organised jointly by the residents of the parishes of Anzo and Busto, is making progress in the preparations. The councillors for Festivities, the area and Tourism, José Cuñarro, Marcos Marino and Begoña Blanco, respectively, together with the members of the Anzo and Busto commission set up for this purpose, checked the Golmar house, owned by the Cortizo family, José Luis (father) and Rubén (son), which has been donated for this event. Both the neighbours of Anzo and Busto and the Town Council of Lalín, especially the mayor, are very grateful to the Cortizo family for lending this magnificent house to carry out the Slaughter. A centenary building, which consists of annexes typical of a farmhouse, which will also be used all of them to carry out both the Slaughter and the tasting of typical pork products. Among the outbuildings that the Golmar house is equipped with and that the family has made available for this purpose are a wooden doorway at the back of the house dating from 1856, a barn dating from 1902 (where the pig will be hung), a fountain in the middle of the threshing floor, a four-span granary dating from 1879, a wooden door on the balcony dating from 1868 which has a troneira, an oven, beehives (as a curiosity there is a salt and pepper oven), a small hive (as a curiosity there is a salt and pepper oven in the back of the house dating from 1868), a small wooden door on the balcony dating from 1868 which has a troneira, an oven, beehives and a small hive among other unique elements of one of the strong farmhouses in our area. It should also be pointed out that this house is made entirely of stone and was built in phases, as evidenced by the inscriptions with the dates on the lintels of the house, the granary, the barn, the hayloft and the solana itself. Furthermore, the paving of the threshing floor is made entirely of stone, which facilitated the work of preparing the wheat and rye, as it was easier to sweep and use the grain on stone and in winter there was no mud, which also made it easier to access and manoeuvre the carts. The house has a large area at the back of the building where the lunch tent will be set up so that those attending can taste the product as close as possible to the place where the re-enactment of the Slaughter takes place. The organising committee has already prepared and spoken to the owners of the house to facilitate parking on the upper side of the provincial road where there is a dovecote and some pigeon coops near the Golmar house itself. In this sense, it is indicated that it will not be possible to park in the whole area that will be used for the recreation of the "Matanza" and the tasting of the product.
