The Pork Art exhibition is a renowned initiative based on the Cow Parade and launched with the same level of originality in order to promote this Municipality. The pig was chosen as the showing’s key figure because of everything that this totemic animal has meant, and still means, in the lands of Deza, not forgetting that pork meat is an unavoidable ingredient to prepare our Cocido (pork stew).
Lalín’s “piglets” are destined to be Lalín’s brand image in Spain together with the slogan “Lalín, Kilometre Zero of Galicia”. Our piglets made all heads turn during their début at Fitur 2008. Since then, they have been in Andorra, the Lalín Thematic Week in El Corte Inglés, the Galician Green Week or the city of Vigo. However, the launching pad for this exhibition was the XLI Cocido Fair. Our goal is to surpass the figure of 50 piglets, which will be touring around Spain’s main cities to accompany the Cocido.
