MORE THAN 8.5 MILLION EUROS IS ACHIEVED BY THE VALUATION OF THE DISSEMINATION AND PROMOTION OF THE 15TH COCIDO FAIR, WHICH FEATURED 702 NEWS ITEMS.

It reached a SUMA OTS (number of "impressions" or potential audience of the news collected) of 1,060 million viewers, readers or television viewers. 
Up to 20 reports were broadcast on all national television channels, except La 1, and especially on the Medio Pro channels, which broadcast a dozen reports.

In radio, there were 8 broadcasts in national radio stations and 32 reports in written media of national scope that echoed in one way or another the Cocido Fair, according to data provided by Kantar Media.

 

The Councillor for Tourism, Begoña Blanco, has just underlined the "historic return" that all the events of the Cocido Fair have had in terms of dissemination and promotion of Lalín, the Fair and the products of Lalín. In just two months of the 2023 Cocido campaign, and with two of the most mediatic events such as the Rali del Cocido and the Enduro World Championship still to be held, the Feira do Cocido has already received 702 articles in the press, radio, television and web. A figure of mentions in the press that raises to 8.51 million euros the Sum AVE (economic valuation of the media diffusion of the Fair) and a SUMA OTS (number of "impressions" or potential audience of the new collected) of 1,060 million viewers, readers or television viewers. These return and dissemination figures are significantly higher than those of 2020, which were four times higher than those of previous years.

Blanco indicates that the return of the events and the diffusion of the Fair "justifies by far the investment that is made" since the image of Lalín reaches the whole peninsula and outside it associated with a great product and to achieve a similar impact it would be necessary to invest many millions of euros in advertising.

20 NEWS ITEMS ON NATIONAL TELEVISION

In the media analysis certified by Kantar Media through its ONCLUSIVE application, up to 20 reports are collected in all national TV channels, except La 1, and specially in Medio Pro channels, which broadcasted a dozen of reports, apart from the live broadcasting of its news on the 12th, which reached more than 15 million viewers among all of them. TVG also made a major effort, with dozens of reports, interviews, mentions in programmes and the Gala de TV de Galicia itself (which does not appear in the Kantar Media study in terms of audience or rating, as it is a complete programme).

On the radio, there were 8 broadcasts on national radio stations and 32 reports in national written media that echoed in one way or another the "Feira do Cocido", the Cocido, the products of Lalín and the chefs of Lalín. Among them, in the main national newspapers such as El Mundo, ABC, or El País, which dedicated an extensive report in "El Comidista" and a long video in the Youtube profile of this section of the newspaper of the PRISA group.

EXPONENTIAL GROWTH

Since the recognition of the "Feira do Cocido" as a Festival of International Tourist Interest, the growth in media coverage "has grown exponentially until reaching the spectacular figures of this year's edition". These figures are the result of efforts such as the live broadcasting of regional and national programmes such as the "Gala do Cocido" or the Tele 5 news programmes.
