THE LALÍN COCIDO FAIR, PRESENT AT MADRID FUSIÓN

The tasting session at the stand of several Galician GDRs brought together the Regional Minister for Rural Affairs, María José Gómez, the mayor José Crespo and representatives of the producers.

Álex Iglesias prepared dishes using ingredients from Cocido and Lalín cheese, with Embutidos Lalinenses sausages, Da Morena bread and Ponte da Boga wine.

On Tuesday, the Lalín Cocido Fair added a new stop to its promotional campaign with a presentation held at Madrid Fusión, at the stand of several of the GDRs, with an open tasting that brought together a large audience and representatives from institutions and the Galician rural community.

The event was attended by the Regional Minister for Rural Affairs, María José Gómez, and the Mayor of Lalín, José Crespo, along with several mayors and representatives of different GDRs from Galicia. Martín Alemparte Vidal, current director of the Galician Food Quality Agency (AGACAL), was also present.

The tasting was led by chef Álex Iglesias, who prepared various dishes using Cocido products and Lalín cheese, highlighting the versatility and quality of local produce. The dishes were made with ingredients from Embutidos Lalinense, bread from the Da Morena bakery and Ponte da Boga wine.

This event in Madrid is a new presentation of the Cocido Fair, following those already held in Lalín, Fitur and Oviedo, and after the latest promotional activity carried out on Monday at the Galician Hospitality Centre. The activity is part of the calendar leading up to the municipality's major events, on the eve of the Honey Fair weekend and as a prelude to one of Galicia's most emblematic gastronomic events.
