It will take place from 13.00 hours and will be followed by the ‘Ofrenda ao Porco’ and the ‘XXV Cocido das Artes’.
On March 1st, Saturday of Carnival, will take place at 13.00 h in the Municipal Museum the inauguration of the XIII EmporcARTE in memory of the painter and musician Eduardo Meijomence and Alexandro, poster designer of the Fair of the Cocido of the year 2015, with the participation of 50 artists from different parts of the Galician geography, of which one is of Chinese origin although settled in Lugo, who bring sculptural, photographic and pictorial works that have as a theme the cocido.
The Mayor of Lalín, José Crespo; the President of the Parliament, Miguel Santalices; the Regional Minister of Education, Román Rodríguez; the Councillor of Culture, Begoña Blanco, and members of the Corporation as well as a large number of artists are expected to attend.
The exhibition can be seen on the first floor of the Museum until March 28th and coexists with the central exhibition of the Cocido ‘Arte en tinta’, promoted by the City Council of Lalín, Afundación and ABANCA, which can be visited on the ground floor of the Museum until March 14th.
After the opening of EmporcARTE, the traditional ‘Ofrenda ao porco’ will take place and afterwards the artists will share the XXV Cocido das Artes in the restaurant Modesto (Observatorio street, 12), in which 85 people are registered.
