- Cocido Month will open on Wednesday at the same time that a meeting will be held in Madrid so that Galician restaurateurs based in the capital can participate in this event to promote and disseminate Lalín's Cocido in Madrid.
- This meeting, which will be attended by the Mayor of Lalín, will be held at the Galician Centre in Madrid and the chef in charge of explaining the conditions of our Cocido will be Alberto González from Casa Currás.
The ‘porquiños’ of the Cocido will return to the streets to occupy their usual position during the ‘Month of the Cocido’ which starts next Wednesday 15th January and which will be the starting signal for the LVII edition of the Cocido Fair which will take place on 23rd February.
The 27 statues of the Cocido Fair will be distributed among the more than 50 establishments that will take part in the sponsorship of the Month of Cocido, which will initially be distributed among some businesses and which will be changed throughout the celebration.
This edition of the Month of Cocido will begin with the presentation of the Cocido pin and with a meeting that will take place in Madrid on Wednesday with the participation of a group of Madrid hoteliers who intend to set up an initiative in the Spanish capital to accompany the promotion of the Feria del Cocido that takes place in Madrid. Thus, in addition to the 24 restaurants of the Month of Cocido, this same edition and in the coming years could accompany the restaurants lalinenses, a number to be fixed at the meeting on Wednesday of Madrid restaurants that would offer in the capital Cocido de Lalín with the same characteristics and with the qualities and meats of Lalín.
Once the participants are decided, in the coming weeks will begin to celebrate this month of Cocido in Madrid with those who are attached to this possibility driven with Galician restaurateurs in Madrid with the collaboration of the City Council of Lalín.
