The mayor of Lalín, José Crespo, visited Fitur yesterday and took the opportunity to talk with several personalities, such as the commanders José Luis Martínez-Almeida, Juan Carlos Escotet and Pedro López Jácome. He also attended the presentation of the Galician Tourism Strategy and at the end he spoke with the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, who confirmed that today he will attend the presentation of the Cocido Fair at Fitur.
Besides, Crespo also took the opportunity to go to the presentation of the Japanese stand in Fitur where he had a meeting with the town crier of the 57th Cocido Fair, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan in Spain, Takahiro Nakamae, to whom he gave a promotional pin of the Cocido and he also discussed with him how the presence of the ambassador will be in Lalín during the weekend of the Cocido Fair as well as the programme of activities, in which it was a cordial meeting. At the Japanese stand Crespo attended the opening of the Sake barrel, a traditional Asian ceremony.
It is necessary to emphasize that the commander José Luis Martínez Almeida promoted the Cocido de Lalín during his intervention in the inauguration of the stand of Galicia.
